By ordering from Pocket Curio you agree to these terms. We kept them short and plain, the way the rest of the shop is.

Made to order

Every curio is made to order. When you place an order, we print and finish a piece just for you. Nothing is pulled off a shelf, which is part of why each one comes out a little different and entirely yours.

The remake promise

If your keepsake shows up broken, flawed, or not what you approved, tell us and we will remake it at no cost. We stand behind every piece that leaves the farm. See the Refunds page for exactly how and when.

Your photos stay yours

You keep every right to the photos and descriptions you send. You simply grant Pocket Curio a limited license to use them to design, print, and finish your keepsake, and to show you a preview before we make it. We do not use your photos for anything else, and we do not share them beyond the helpers named on our Privacy page.

By sending a photo, you confirm it is yours to send and that making a keepsake from it does not step on anyone else's rights.

Acceptable use

Keep it kind and keep it legal. Do not send photos you do not have the right to use, or ask us to make anything hateful, threatening, or unlawful. We may decline or cancel an order that crosses that line, and we will refund you in full if we do.

What we can promise

We make each curio with real care, but a handmade, printed object is not a flawless factory part. Small variation in texture, color, or finish is part of the craft, not a defect, and colors on your screen can differ a little from the finished piece.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Pocket Curio is not liable for anything beyond the amount you paid for the order in question. We do not cover indirect or knock-on losses. Some places do not allow this kind of limit, so parts of it may not apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, and any dispute is handled in the courts of Michigan. We are Pocket Curio, based in Detroit, MI.

Changes

We may update these terms as the shop grows. When we do, we will post the new version here with a fresh date at the top.
